As an independent consultant, I take personal responsibility for the quality of all services provided and for maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.

To achieve this policy, I will:
- Continually review and improve consultancy processes and working methods

- Use documented procedures, templates, and records to ensure consistency and traceability

Quality is reviewed on an ongoing basis. Lessons learned from client feedback, project reviews, changes in legislation, and professional development activities are used to improve services and working practices.
5. Responsibility
As the sole consultant, I have overall responsibility for the implementation, maintenance, and review of this Quality Policy and ensure it is communicated to relevant parties where appropriate.
6. Review
This Quality Policy is reviewed annually, or sooner if there are significant changes to services, legislation, or business operations.
SafeGuarding Policy 2026. (Education Sector)
Policy Statement
Rivington Safety is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. When working in the education sector, I recognise my responsibility to act in a manner that protects children and young people from harm and to support safeguarding arrangements in place at client premises.
This policy applies to all work undertaken in schools, colleges, academies, and other education settings.
1. Scope and Principles
- This policy is informed by Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and relevant UK safeguarding legislation and guidance
- Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility
- The welfare of children and young people is paramount
2. Responsibilities
As an independent health and safety consultant, I will:
- Act professionally and appropriately at all times when on education premises
- Follow the safeguarding, child protection, and visitor procedures of the education setting
- Take reasonable steps to avoid situations where I am alone with children or young people
- Not initiate physical contact with children or young people unless necessary to prevent harm
3. Conduct and Professional Boundaries
- I will wear identification when required and sign in/out in accordance with site procedures
- I will not engage in personal or inappropriate conversations with children or young people
- Photography, recording, or use of mobile devices will only take place with prior authorisation and in line with site rules
- Confidential information will be handled appropriately and securely
4. Reporting Safeguarding Concerns
- Any safeguarding concern, disclosure, or suspicion of harm will be reported immediately to the school or organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- I will not investigate safeguarding concerns or promise confidentiality
- If a child is at immediate risk, I will follow site emergency procedures
5. Training and Awareness
- I will maintain an appropriate level of safeguarding awareness relevant to my role
- Safeguarding information provided by client organisations will be read and followed
6. Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated to reflect changes in legislation or guidance.
